Purpose:
The purpose of Teen Enrichment Network is to increase the achievement levels of all youth. TEN will use a variety of resources and platforms that will make a positive impact in the lives of our community youth.
These resources are used to equip our teens for the future; a future not only in their careers but also in life. There are people who have jobs but struggle because they lack the intelligence to make connections. We help teens to build connections, learn how to build connections, foster relationships and reap benefits.
It takes a village, we are that village.
Goals:
1. Acceleration, Advancement, and Accomplishment for today’s youth
2. Improve interpersonal relationships between our young men and women and their peers, teachers, family members, and other adults in their lives
3. Reduce dropout rate, and promote continuing education in college and career-readiness.
4. Increase the ability of youth to plan for the future
5. Improve the ability of youth to respond to challenges in an appropriate and positive manner.
6. Utilize the existing services of civic/community resources and agencies
7. Raise money for Scholarship Campaign.
8. Confront problems and challenges
9. Understanding the power of vision
10. Not declaring victory too soon
11. Self-reflection and compassion awareness
12. Teach individuals to have strong emotional intelligence and handle difficult situations with grace
